Berea itself, the nearest town about 10 miles away, is known as the arts and crafts capital of Kentucky and is home to Berea College, the first gender and race inclusive college in the South. We’re also within striking distance of the Red River Gorge, Cumberland Falls, and the Daniel Boone National Forest, and spectacular hiking destinations such as Anglin Falls and the Berea Pinnacles are within miles. For those seeking occasional urban experiences, we’re about an hour from Lexington, and two-ish from Louisville and Cincinatti. Berea is about 20 minutes away by car (or a little over an hour by bike.)
